suffix of nouns used colloquially:
1. as an endearment, or affectionately, especially with and among children: "doggie" = dog;
2. as a familiar abbreviation: "brekkie" = breakfast; "Chrissie" = Christmas; "footie" = football; "piccie" = picture;
3. form nouns: "leftie" = left-winger; "stubbie" = small, squat beer bottle; "stiffie" = erection;
4. instead of '-y': Aussie = Aussy, etc.
